Tips For Cramming
Welcome back!
Exam season is upon many of us, and I am on the same page as anyone who says they’re starting far too late with preparation. Of course what is known as ‘cramming’ is never recommendable, but here are some of the ways I’m managing to prepare last minute!
- To-do lists are your best friend.
Before you start a session of revision, tell yourself what you want to achieve by the end of it. Set realistic goals that will make you proud when accomplished!
- Clear your work space.
It seems small, but when I tidy my desk it gives me the feeling that I have a much more productive day ahead of me -- and it’s easier to find any equipment I need for my revision.
- Focus on your own journey.
Cramming gets a lot more stressful when you’re looking around and all your peers appear to have done more work than you. Some people exaggerate how much they do to appear superior, and even if they are telling the truth, thinking about their preparation cannot help you!
- Self-care first.
If you feel that revision/studying means putting your health second, rethink your priorities. We aren’t told often to take care and put work next!
Good luck to all those taking exams soon,
