Hi dollies!

 

Today's post is about staying healthy in the summer

 

During this period, we like to have fun in the sun, go out and eat lots of lovely food (especially ice cream), and some go on holiday.

 

Now, there is a lot of controversy over the 'beach body image' - this post is NOT about that.

I only have a few simple and easy tips so everyone can enjoy their summer in a healthier way:

 

1. Drink plenty of water - keeping hydrated is a must, water is key for staying fresh and healthy, if not, you could easily become dehydrated.

 

2. Sign up to a Summer club - there are plenty of free Summer Clubs created for people to go out, learn or play a new sport whilst having fun too.

 

3. Get your daily dose of fruit and veg - In summer, there is a variety of fruits like mango, pineapple, kiwi, banana, melon etc. that are wonderfully tropical and sweet and are just as tasty as an ice cream (don't get me wrong, I love a good ice-cream!) There is also a range of interesting veg to eat too.

 

4. Sun screen! - Staying as healthy as possible, means that constantly re-applying sun screen is vital for avoiding skin cancer and sun-burn. Frequent sun-burn can lead to unhealthy skin in the future.

 

5. Go for a jog - I was originally going to put run, however, I can't manage that myself! In the morning when it's cooler, a morning jog will set you out for the day ahead making you feel happier!
