Surviving a New School

113個月之前

Hi dolls,

Whether you are moving school, starting public school for the first time, or even transitioning into a higher level of education, it can be very daunting. Hopefully these tips will help your new school experience be a little less intimidating.

- Get oriented

Most schools have an open day for incoming students. Attend this to meet the faculty and to get to know your way around the building.

- Be Confident

This is not always easy. Walk in with your shoulders back and your head held high. Make sure not to come across as overly-confident though.

- Put yourself out there and be social

Don't be too shy. Go up and introduce yourself to people, that is the only way you are going to make friends.

- Be kind to everyone

You don't want to give people a bad impression of you.

- Join clubs or sports activities

This is a great way to meet new people, and you will already have something in common!

- Try hard in your classes

Do not get too caught up in the "social" aspect of school. You don't want to fall behind and risk failing classes. Also, do not try to be "funny" in class and be rude to your teachers to try to get attention. Most people in your class will actually find it disrespectful and will not want to befriend you.

Alright dolls, that's it for this post. See you soon!
