Planning Ahead

107個月之前

Hi dolls,

It's getting to that point for a lot of us on Stardoll where we need to start planning for what we want to do next in our lives.

Whether it's college, university or finding a job. I'm sure a lot of you in secondary school will at some point have done work experience or an internship.

I did mine last year, but this year I have also chose to do it again. I actually managed to get to do something I love this time, I'm doing a bit of work experience for a local Newspaper where I live.

Here are some ways in which you can start planning ahead.

Building a CV. A CV is used to tell a potential employer about yourself and to list off your work experience. A great way of improving your CV is to also attach a covering letter with it, to state why you would want to work for the place you're applying for.

Starting hobbies/activities. This is really useful if you are applying for a certain type of college or if you are filling out an application for a university of your choice. It shows you are able to work in a team, have other interests in life and that you are focused on your goals.

Going to workshops. Again, this is like doing work experience, but it can help you develop certain skills. I have done one with my school for key communications. Which was really helpful; it taught me how to interact with others when finding solutions to problems and I learned how to be my best self in team building exercises .

What methods are using to plan ahead for your futures?

Hope this post helps you if you're a little stuck on what to next in life.
