Expert Tips

Work a little dry shampoo onto your scalp if you haven’t washed it in a few days. This makes your hair easier to work with and more manageable. Flat iron hair first if you’re going for a sharper, more professional look. To keep the look longer, tie your hair into a loose ponytail before twisting it into a bun. Don’t forget the hairspray!

Tools of the Trade

Use these ingenious pins to create and hold an effortless messy bun, side chignon…the sky’s the limit. Simply twist one into the bun clockwise, close to the scalp. Twist in the second one from the opposite end if you have layered or super thick/long hair.

These trusty pins hold hair in place. Insert them at opposite ends. They can also be used to pin down pieces of hair you don’t want sticking out.
