Styling It Girls

il y a 45 mois

For this blog post, I have styled some of the items from recent It Girls daily looks!

For my first outfit, I chose this Dion Lee ‘gathered butterfly’ dress, which was from his Spring 2021 RTW collection. As the dress has so many elements such as the straps, cut-outs, and gathering, I wanted to keep the look simple, adding the delicate layered necklaces and some strappy mules that have bead-style detailing on the heel. I then added some gold square hoops and a white mini bag with gold hardware. Next, I chose these Alexander McQueen gold double hoop earrings and matching choker in a twisted style. Going for a similar aesthetic to my first outfit, I stuck to a minimal look, layering the Jacquemus ‘La robe Saudade’ dress over a pair of relaxed-fit Dion Lee pants, and then accessorizing with a pair of strappy square-toe heels, an oversized clutch bag, and headband. Alternatively, this look would work without the pants, or if you switch the dress for a white camisole that’s slightly cropped as the pants are low-rise.

Next, I chose these green cargo pants by I.AM.GIA, which are a recolor of a beige pair from Vinyl. I styled them with a white cropped camisole, a pair of white strappy heels (some slouchy heeled boots would also work), and white frame sunglasses. Then, I added some silver hoops to match the pant chain, and then this bag which matches the look perfectly, with the silver chain strap, and the green and white detail. For my next outfit, I chose one of my favorite pieces, this cropped blazer with a tie-waist by Patchwerk. I styled it with a mini-skirt in a similar muted shade, and then went for silver accessories; the single spiral earring, chain necklace, strappy heels, and bag.

Another item from It Girls that I love was this classic spiked choker! I decided to go for a look that was loosely inspired by Gucci Fall 2020, pairing the choker with this Mugler dress that has a leather studded bra that contrasts the flowy baby pink style perfectly. I layered the dress with a ruffled bra for added contrast, then added some chunky knee-high leather boots, and a black box bag with a baby pink silk handle and chain detail. Next, I had to include this dress, which is by Fannie Schiavoni, a designer who specializes in metal fashion. Her work has been worn by the likes of Nicki Minaj, Elsa Hosk, and Rihanna, and she also recreated Paris Hilton’s iconic 21st BDay dress (originally by Julien Macdonald) for a W Magazine video (‘Paris Hilton Breaks Down Her Favourite 2000s Trends’). With the halter neck, draped style, and mini length, this dress is the ultimate nod to a 00s party dress. I styled it with a pair of sheer gloves to match the sheer style of the mesh, some strappy heels, silver hoops, black shades, and a mirrored sphere bag. You could also switch the bag for something simpler, and add a black fur stole worn off-the-shoulder.
