il y a 56 mois

Meet Molly, a very sweet and stylish 22 year old player from the United Kingdom. Molly studied art, history and technology in high school, then hairdressing and beauty for 2 years during college, and chose not to go to university but instead start full-time work to help her family.

Share your Stardoll journey!

"My username is heavily inspired by the video game Fallout. I’ve played a lot of video games but Fallout is the one that really stuck with me, so I picked NukaCola, which is a parody brand within the game. I discovered Stardoll back when the website was still fuchsia pink! I remember playing on the family PC that we had and playing those online dress-up games and I stumbled upon Stardoll. Having my own doll and suite that I could style in any way that I liked really appealed to me, so I begged my parents to let me have an account. I think Stardoll was more relevant in my country a few years ago when there were more people that knew about it. I used to play with some real life friends who have sadly left, but I have since made some wonderful friends that I have met through Stardoll."

Favorite and least favorite thing about the game?

"The weekly releases are definitely my favorite thing and I always look forward to what we get next. Getting new things to style and play around with keeps me coming back!
My least favorite thing is probably the scenery feature. I find that I don’t use it that much due to creative limitations. If I could add or change anything, I would add a plain white option so we could create from scratch, the ability to see all of our wardrobe and storage in an organized format and the option to use our own interiors as backgrounds."

Let's talk culture!

"I love learning about Polynesian culture. I was actually inspired to learn more about it through media and most recently a video game I’ve been playing. Learning about the meaning behind Polynesian names is one of the many things I find interesting, some have references to wildlife, the weather and even flowers. Regarding my culture, one thing a lot of people associate with British culture are the Royal Family. They have always attracted the interest from British people and internationally audiences. In modern day, the Royal Family have influenced British fashion quite a lot, with brands such as Alexander McQueen, Jenny Packham and Stella McCartney being among the favorites. A tradition that some may not know about is Maypole Dancing. I used to take part in this when I was younger and it signifies community gatherings. Maypole often takes place in the spring time and is a folk dance which is performed around a wooden pole, usually decorated with greenery or flowers, and ribbons with intricate patterns. Originally, the dance was performed around a tree."

Let's talk fashion, inspiration and style!

"I’d say a lot of my inspiration comes from what is currently trending, such as street style and runway fashion. If I had to pick a trend that I enjoy the most it would be the Balenciaga Pantashoes. I love how versatile they are to style, they go with a lot of different looks and they’re a unique fashion statement. Some of my other favorite brands include: Off-White, Elie Saab and Moschino."

Words of wisdom:

"I think an important thing to remember is whatever part of life you may be in right now, it does not define where you will always be. This may not seem like an achievement to others, but it feels like one to me. My personal achievement would be reaching a good place in my life. I’m happy and content with my life right now and I’m trying to grow and learn from past mistakes with the motivation to do better – it’s a good mindset to be in."

Shoutouts:
"I’d like to give a shout out to my best friend on Stardoll, Hannah (CoolyStar)!
She’s such a caring and compassionate person, who has always had my back even when things haven’t been so easy for me. I’m forever grateful to have someone like Hannah around, who always brings out the best in people."
