Every day of the year is International Something-Or-Other Day. Whether it’s something fun, like World Chocolate Day (July 7th), or something inspiring, like Nobel Prize Day (December 10th), there are many reasons to celebrate, honor, and observe special days around the world.

Today is one of those days. February 4th is World Cancer Day: a day the world comes together to spread awareness, to work toward detection and prevention, and to provide treatment and aid to those who are in the fight of their lives against this awful disease.
You may remember last October, we encouraged you to think #pink for breast cancer, and to do your part in the battle against cancer in whatever way you could, on a local level. Today, we are bringing that local level to Stardoll. We are releasing a window shop with two items: a lovely cat dress inspired by a cat-loving doll who recently lost her battle to cancer, and butterfly twinkle lights picked out especially by a doll who is battling it still. For each dress and lights sold in StarPlaza, we will be donating a portion of the sale to our local cancer charity, Cancer Fonden, in honor of all of the dolls who have struggled with this disease.

We hope these special items will serve as reminders to you: reminders of loved ones, reminders to get regular cancer screenings, and reminders that we can all do our part in the fight against cancer until a cure is discovered. Until then, we encourage you to do your research, find a reputable charity, and donate your time, your funds, or your talents to a worthwhile cause that speaks to you.
