Cancer with Mystica0837 - Part Two
Let's continue our interview with Mystica0837, a cancer patient, about the disease.
What new experiences have you tried? What will you try?
I made a bucket list with my family and friends and recently just started it. We went to "Dolfinarium" which is a kind of aquarium with my favorite animals: dolphins. My parents arranged a meeting with the trainers and I could help them with the training, as far as my energy allowed me to. I thought it was great and it was lots of fun. It helped me to disconnect the thoughts of dying for a while. I went on a trip with my best friends in a hot air balloon, which was great. It's amazing and weird at the same time to be in the air like that, and see everything just slowly passing by. Like I was flying. There is more stuff to come, but I might not check off everything from my bucket list. It depends on how well I'm doing and how high my energy level is :).
What have doctors done to prevent cancer from spreading in your body?
The doctors have given me a chemo last week for every day. Normally chemo works to destroy the cancer cells, but this time it was to isolate them. So they, hopefully, don't multiply, or at least do very slowly. I might have to get these kind of chemos again some day, depending on my health, and on how well it worked this time. They are not able to see already, as most of the time the results of a chemo show 2-3 weeks after you had it. For now I feel okay, and I have some strong medication to cover the pain, so with them I can do stuff I like. I only have less energy, so I'm more tired.
