Sweetheart Styling

il y a 87 mois

As it's February, I decided to style some outfits inspired by Valentine's Day. I used red as a staple colour, as it's a classic for Valentine's Day, although I tried to style it in a fresh way. Pink would work perfectly too as an alternative, with dusty pink being on trend right now.

My first outfits are super casual, with the denim and sneakers. The embroidery detail on the skirt and jeans are super cute, and as they use jewels and metallic threads, they could totally be dressed up with a crisp blouse and minimal heels. I added a slouchy puffer jacket to the first outfit to add contrast to the girly skirt and t-shirt, and a simple denim jacket and red top to the second, working with the statement jeans and gold sneakers.

My last outfits focus on the dress. Plush velvet and satin are perfect for Valentine's day, as well as lace trims and even chiffon. With the first look I stuck to a simple dress and heels, adding the pepper earrings and Gelateria bag for a kitsch and fun detail. For the last outfit, I did tone down the dress with a grey t-shirt and sneakers, but you could swap the sneakers for heels (and even adding a fur coat or stole) for a glam, Clueless-inspired look.
