Season Clearance Sales
Although shopping in clearance sales often provides you with clothes that are out of season, it can still be super useful! Look for items you can use to layer or classic style clothes that you can use next year - steer away from the weird trends and freaky patterns.

Clearance Stores
The only way to find cheap new clothes more easily than in clearance sales, clearance stores are a great way to save a lot of cash on a shopping trip! I am particularly lucky in this aspect, as there is a clearance store only shopping mall close to me. This strategy is especially useful for people who wear uncommon sizes - for example, I wear a bra size that has a very rare back to cup ratio, meaning that the bras that are this size don't sell in the normal shops and get sent to clearance shops... where I buy them!

Second Hand
Don't be squeamish about second hand clothes! They are good for the environment, and your wallet. Second hand shops in upper class suburbs can often provide you with amazing designer finds, but don't be scared of other places - I once found a vintage Burberry trench coat for $10 in a garage sale!
