Ever wonder what a designer does all day? Given that it’s summer—and we’re obsessed with Tori Praver‘s high waist swimsuits and sexy string bikinis—we asked the model turned swim designer to lay it all out for us, hour by hour.

A couple weeks ago, if you had given us a Hawaiian shirt we probably would have said nope, never, no thank you and passed it right along into our to-donate pile. The look has been a fashion no-no for as long as we can remember, seen only on tourists with cameras around their necks and sunscreen-whitened noses, or perhaps more embarrassingly, our Dads. Leave it to our favorite fashion designers to remind us once again to never say never when it comes to style.
This year’s resort collections from Stella McCartney, Suno and Marc by Marc Jacobs all feature luau-ready looks in super-funky island prints and, yes, we dig it. If you’re getting ready for a tropical vacay, embrace the locale and deck yourself out in Hawaiian prints. But even if you’ll be spending the season nowhere near the ocean (sad days), you can feel totally beachy with the style. Rifle through your Dad’s closet for an over-sized Hawaiian shirt and try rocking it as a coverup by the pool, or wear it buttoned up with your fave denim short-shorts, gladiator sandals, a high bun and a pair of Ray-Bans for a perfectly casual daytime look. Amber.Stardoll- It's that time of year! Grab your picnic basket, a blanket, and some yummy sandwiches- we're going on a picnic! One of the reasons we love summer so much is sunny days where you can eat outside! We think picnics are great and some of our favorite celebs think so too!

- We knew that Prince William and Kate Middleton were thinking about heading to Cali on their North America tour, but now we know that it's definitely happening! Kate and Will's California iternary has been released and we just have to say, we're super excited!
On Friday, July 8, the royal couple will arrive to Cali, they'll have an official visit with the Consular-General on behalf of the UK government.
Saturday, July 9, Will is playing in a polo match (!!!) for the American Friends of the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry. That evening, Will and Kate will head to downtown LA for a BAFTA dinner and reception. On Sunday, July 10, the newlyweds will get some private time but will later visit an inner-city school and job fair for veterans.
According to a spokesperson from St. James's Place, Will and Kate's goal during the tour is to "promote British interest in California through the prism of their own interest." We think they'll have so much fun in California and we hope they will really take the time to enjoy themselves, it sounds like they will be busy! (people)

- Whew, that name sure is a mouthful, isn’t it? Well, you better get used to letting it roll of your tongue because famed fashion designer Albertus Swanepoel is slated to collaborate with one of our favorite stores, Target, this coming fall. We couldn’t be more thrilled!

- Most of the time there's rumors flying around about which celeb has an eating disorder or why she is soooo skinny. So we're always happy when we come across our fave celebs eating a healthy meal! It's nice to know that stars like Paris Hilton, Jennifer Garner, and Taylor Swift enjoy a good meal! Sometimes, even with CARBS! :)

- Sienna Miller is one it-girl that looks good in everything! It’s not the easiest to dress casual and still look fashionable, but that is Sienna's specialty and she always succeeds! Sienna can wear just a pair of jeans and a simple t-shirt and look so awesome! So what’s her secret? Well…Sienna often adds something unexpected like shoes you’ve never seen before or a pop of color. Simple as that!

- Though it’s a unlikely duo (only because there should be more of it), we’re happy to see a recurring color combo of orange and gray in this season’s resort collections.
This is great for three reasons:
1. orange is perfect for basically every season—it’s one of those colors that can really be worn year round;
2. orange looks awesome with a nice bronze (a.k.a. your beach tan); and
3. it’s a nice alternative to the neon and neutral color-blocking trend we’ve been seeing a lot of.
Moreover, the orange-and-gray combo is the perfect look for a more subtle approach to wearing brightly-hued colors. If you tend to steer clear of bold colors (like myself) and stick to mostly basics and neutrals (black, white, beige, etc.), adding a bit of orange is a really easy (and less-obvious) way to stand out if you don’t want to wear neons. Plus, since it’s paired with gray, you can still stick to your basic neutral color palette. If you’re feeling adventurous and want to wear a bright orange hue this summer, try something along the lines of this DVF resort 2012 look. Paired with gray or beige, it’s understated boldness at its best.
