The hottest stars  stepped up their game last night the 2011 BET Awards in Los Angeles. From singers to actors, check out who wowed the crowd with our fashion favorites from the red carpet (and a few style disasters as well).

New mom Alicia Keys, who performed at the awards show, showed off her post-baby figure in a Dolce & Gabbanna white tux jacket, black top and pants, and zebra pumps. We’re loving her twist on the menswear look.

Kelly Rowland popped in a fuchsia pink Notte by Marchesa ruffled cocktail dress with strappy tan sandals. This dress just screams summer.

R&B Singer Kerri Hilson looked radiant in a purple tube top and high-wasted black harem pants. We love the turquoise accent on the necklace, and warrior-inspired silver cuffs. But if you look closely, Kerri’s hair dresser seemed to have missed a chunk of hair on the side…hmm, not quite sure how we feel about the rat tail look…

Siblings Willow and Jayden Smith looked adorable and funky while striking a pose on the red carpet. Jayden rocked tiger print pants and black high-tops, while Willow’s awesomely wild ensemble consisted of knee-high studded combat boots and a graphic-tee with an image of her dad Will Smith! Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, anyone?

Ex-Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams kept it classy in a draped, loose-fitting above-the-knee frock. The vibrant purple color looks great on her skin, but the mirrored/disco-looking shoes may have been a bit much.

Actress Kerry Washington looked absolutely stunning in a neon green belted Michael Kors floor-length gown. The subtle slit up the leg and key-hole neckline was sexy without being too revealing. The final touches completed the look with her sleek pulled-back ponytail and minimal jewelry.

TV personality Lala Vasquez sparkled in a metallic, long-sleeved sequined mini and black strappy heels. Her high bun was the perfect hairstyle to wear with such an attention-grabbing frock such as this one.

And of course it wouldn’t be a red carpet without the one-and-only Justin Bieber rocking his usual shades, skinny jeans, Nike high-tops, and jean cut-off vest. Lookin’ good Biebs! Now that we’ve covered the best of fashion at the BET Awards, we thought we’d take a second to acknowledge some not-so-hot looks from the night. So, here are some looks that didn’t quite make the cut…

Nicki Minaj wore…well, we’re not exactly sure what she was wearing, but whatever it was, it just didn’t work. The dress we don’t mind, but when paired with gray tights and booties, it was just an all-over hot mess. We still love her, though, so—forgiven.

Semi-new couple, Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose (Kanye’s ex) made quite the entrance last night at the award show. Wiz Khalifa’s (shirtless) army vest was actually tame compared to his girlfriends ensemble. She wore a shredded skin-tight bodysuit, which was obviously accompanied by her infamous shaved head. Well, we can definitely say that Amber’s never been one for modesty, that’s for sure.

Umm…we literally have no idea what is going on here. Singer Porcelain Black channeled Cruella Deville, Madonna, and Jessica Rabbit all in one, horribly confusing red disaster.
