Boring Grown-Up Stuff: Your Hobbies

81 kuukautta sitten

When you were little, it was probably really easy for you to find time to do the things you loved. Whether it was the town's soccer team, art class at school, or science camp, there was always a way to access and enjoy your hobbies. Now that you're a grown-up, though, this might be harder. You've got school, work, responsibilities...where does the fun come in? How can you find time for the things you once loved, and still love?

Well, if you haven't already done so, I'd suggest organizing your schedule. Take all the things you do in a typical week and write them down. Is there a specific day that you're free in the evenings? What could you do with your spare time?

Next, seek out groups in your area that cater to your interests. Is there a local choir you could join to keep up your singing skills? How about a baseball team that needs a coach? See if there are museums or exhibits nearby that sound interesting to you, and check out the deals so that you can go experience it!

The way you enjoy your hobbies might be a little different now that you're older. You can't go back to day camp or enter a science fair. Still, you can participate and encourage young children to explore their hobbies and passions, while still getting enjoyment out of it yourself! Don't forget, just because you're a grown-up, doesn't mean you can't have fun!

What are your hobbies? Mine are music, performing, and writing. ♥

Til next time!
