Travelling isn't always all fun, the events leading up to it and the journey to your destination can be a pain. Your travel bag is quite important in this. What bag you use and what you put in it is important.

Choosing your bag

Your bag should be light, not too big (but big enough!) and made of a fabric that doesn't break easy. It's not complicated, a good backpack does the trick.

Packing!

As you're going to be carrying around that bag all day, I wouldn't pack items that you're not going to use! Pack only the essentials. I recommend:

* Hand cream - I don't like the feeling of dry hands at all! Not fun.

* Lip balm - same as above.

* Pen & pencil - you might need to write something down, and being without a pen or pencil isn't good then!

* Notebook - you can note things down, doodle, write a story, etc.

* Electronics (phone, laptop, tablet, etc.) - these can be compact and are very entertaining for long journeys!

* Headphones - listening to music is a very soothing and relaxing activity.

* Music player - most phones have a music function but you might want to bring a separate player if you don't have enough space on it.

* Travel documents - (if you're travelling alone)
