Feeling Good 24/7
Hello all! Beatrix here.
While feeling good all the time isn't exactly possible, feeling good most of the time is! It's a pretty hard thing to do, but I want to help you get started.
The Basics
Starting off, you need to know that feeling bad is okay. You can feel sad, you can cry, you can be angry, you can scream.
How can you let your feelings out, though? You can:
-Play music that helps you cry it out. I listen to Wait by M83 to get my tears out.
-Eat your favorite food (preferrably something sweet!)
-Call a close friend and talk about it.
Adjusting Your Attitude
It's not a secret that your attitude can effect your outlook on life. If you think about everything pessimistically, then things will start to seem worse than they actually are.
Here's what you can do:
-Try to think of the positives. I know first hand how hard this can be, but it is possible.
-Try to surround yourself with people who make you feel good about yourself.
-Everyday, look for at least one good trait about yourself, as well as others around you.
Little Things Help
The little things in life do help with feeling good.
Here are some things you can do:
-Listen to feel-good music when you need it! Sometimes, you need sad music, but you also need happy music too! My favorite 'pick me up' is Falling by Haim.
-Wear clothing you like! Believe it or not, wearing an outfit you like can make a day a lot better.
-Try not to dwell on the past and live in the now!
