ElleGirl- Do you ever watch your favorite show on TV and just wish you could own the characters wardrobe? Um, we would do just about anything to own Blair or Serena’s closet. Lucky for us fans out there, it turns out that the wardrobe on popular TV shows like True Blood, Mad Men, and Gossip Girl all inspired entire clothing lines. In August, Banana Republic will release their 65-piece Mad Men capsule collection for both men and women so you can dress exactly like your favorite ’60s-styled Mad Men characters. Check out a sample of what’s to come:

When Alexander Wang sent doodle prints down his spring runway the fashion crowd went nuts. The story got cuter when he revealed his staff and interns had whipped up the prints by sketching on butcher paper. Anyone else looking at pictures of First Lady Michelle Obama working on a mural in Botswana might think those paint splatters came from actual painting, but ask a Wang fan and she can tell you they’re from his spring 2011 collection. It looks like the splattered pants were made for this occasion, and it’s the first time Obama’s worn a piece from the young designer. Here’s hoping there’s more deconstructed hipster in her future.
