Last month, Justin Bieber debuted uber-glittery nail polish from OPI. Now, he’s working on a fragrance called My World, which means your entire beauty routine can soon be Bieber-based. The tween popstar’s really taking an unexpected route to self-promotion. No video games, no cereal boxes, not even a clothing line, instead he (or someone in his camp) is focusing on women’s beauty products. On the one hand, sure, girls are obsessed with him and will probably buy anything with his name on it, but who wants to smell like their crush? He’s stopping just short of 100% girly, and marketing the perfume through dog tags and bracelets infused with the scent instead of actual bottles. His fragrance launches at Wal-Mart after Thanksgiving, and if you’re wondering what it smells like, Bieber tells WWD that he likes Britney Spears’ scent, “It smells good.” The boy clearly did his research.

The hunky Burlesque star looked fresh, clean-cut, and dapper a black button-down, gray vest, tie, and black pants last night at a photocall in Madrid. Christina Aguilera, Cher, and Kristen Bell were also in attendance. In the film, Gigandet plays the role of Jack, a bartender and fellow musician who garners the affection of the competitive performer Nikki, played by Kristen Bell.

You’ll be seeing the rough-and-tumble face of Ryan Reynolds plastered on the cover of People really soon and for all of history in whatever Sexiest Man Alive archives exist (as he is People‘s 25th anniversary SMA). The Proposal star and husband to Scarlett Johannson (who likewise just landed a spot on ELLE’s list of all-time favorite bombshells) says this of the title: “You just have to go with the flow. This gives my family entrée into teasing me for the rest of my life.” What do you think? Is this the picture perfect face of sexy this year? Or would have liked to see someone else in that spot?

- Seth Rogen has always been that lovable, funny, and schlubby guy that by some miracle gets the hottest girl in the movie (what can we say, we’re a sucker for a funny line).

But it seems that someone’s been hitting the gym for his lead role in The Green Hornet.

Funny and cute? Seth Rogen, you’re officially on our radar.

Since 2004, when Ryan Gosling played Noah in the ultimate love story The Notebook, we’ve been in love with his mysterious and handsome looks, along with his passion for true love (or is that Noah’s passion?). Ryan Gosling is our Crush of the Week because he’s not only gorgeous, but because he’s amazingly talented.
This month, he’s tackling two incredibly complex roles: In All Things Good, out December 3, he plays a schizophrenic killer, David Marks, opposite Kirsten Dunst playing his wife who suffers the consequences of his evil past. In the film Blue Valentine, premiering December 31, Gosling plays the powerful role of Dean, a discontent husband who tries to fix his failing marriage with Cindy (played by Michelle Williams). The films centers around flashbacks of their relationship, forcing Gosling to play two different people: the young fun man Cindy falls in love with, and the older grumpy husband he becomes. It has been rumored that between both of these films, Gosling deserves an award for at least one. All we know is, he has shot up to #1 on our crush list.

Yes, girls! We said it! Texting is not the best and brightest means of interacting when interested or dating a guy. Sure, it’s the easiest—sometimes we’re scared to admit your feelings face-to-face. There’s the possibility of being flat-out rejected, and then we have an awkward situation on our hands. Or, sometimes we just can’t think of one word to say to each other that would justify a phone call. Of course we don’t want to look stupid in front of your guy, but a little confidence never hurt anybody! Here are a few tips on how you can boost your confidence, let go of your phone’s key pad, and let yourself do the talking!

Best Picture might still be up for grabs, but up until the Oscar nominations were announced last week, both Hollywood and the fashion world assumed that Black Swan would take home the gold for Best Costume Design. As it turns out, Darren Aronofsky’s disturbing hit isn’t even on the ballot. The snub likely has to do with the negative buzz surrounding costume designer Amy Westcott, who is currently in a credits battle with Kate and Laura Mulleavy of the savvy label Rodarte. Depending on who you ask, the duo’s sartorial contribution ranges from forty to seven pieces.

The Jersey Shore cast are going back to their (well, most of their) roots in the next season of the outrageous reality show: yes, Italy. What can the crew possibly do in Italy? Throw around some meat balls? Fist pump in the Vatican? The only roommate with actual knowledge about his Italian heritage is Vinny.

Just when you thought that life doesn’t imitate art, or at least soapy dramas, Gossip Girl’s fictional cast of Upper East Siders won’t be the only ones throwing some serious venom in their social circles.
Thanks to Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, fans can now play “Gossip Girl: Social Climbing,” a free game on Facebook. Just like in the hit show, gamers earn, struggle, and sometimes claw their way up the social ladder by gaining points through being at the right place at the right time—and of course, dressing to stand out in the crowd. Events copy plots of beloved past episodes and characters’ favorite pastimes, including the infamous Assassin Party, Sweetheart Ball, Fashion Week, and club openings. Ultimately, players can be noticed by Gossip Girl herself.
But, don’t stop peering out of your designers specs just yet. If we’ve learned anything from watching Blair, Serena, Chuck and co., it’s that social games aren’t always so glamorous for the losers. What do you think—would you play this game? Or will it just perpetuate social pretension with the message it’s sending?
