So maybe we weren’t alive when all of these awesome bands were in the height of their success, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t appreciate their timeless personal styles.  Music and fashion often go hand-in-hand, so it only makes sense that we’d cover some of the greatest and most followed bands in rock ‘n’ roll history. We’ve rounded up some of our favorite cult-classic groups of all time, and although we might not have seen them live in concert (too bad we missed Woodstock, among others) we can still be grateful for these everlasting and inspirational trends which they originated themselves. Hey, maybe even your parents can relate to this one…right?

Every now and then, we come across an amazing brand which really catches us by surprise. And we mean really. Because finding a line that has particularly high quality and a price that’s totally affordable is super rare and totally comes as a shock when we do find them. Lucky for you, we’ve rounded up the best of the unexpectedly affordable brands (so you can own a covetable piece of for way less than you thought).

One of our favorite things about transitioning from summer to fall is changing up our footwear! While classic black never goes out of style, this fall it’s all about our favorite color—well shade, maybe. What’s more, fall shoes definitely beat out summer picks. It’s officially time to toss out your worn out sandals and flip flops and make room for some of falls hottest shoes. We round up our favorite (and affordable) chicest black fall footwear, so you can really step into the new season (no pun intended) with more than enough style to go around. An edgy combat boot is a must for fall. Dress it up, or down, and strut a rocker-chic look no matter what.

Closet clutter is a major problem, as we all know far too well. As we say so-long to summer and hello to fall, it’s crucial to start making room for our fall and winter wardrobe while still keeping a few summer items to help make the shift into the new season effortlessly. Even though summer’s almost over, we can still hold onto some key items that make the cut for fall fashion too! We’ve come up with a list of things to keep, as well as items to store, as we approach the fall months.

KEEP: Beige, tan, and neutral pieces.

The world feels less like a sauna as the sun slips at a lower angle, and suddenly, summer will be gone. That only means one thing: no more sweat ruining our makeup! The September issues are rolling in on the fashion forefront, and it’s jam-packed with pages of beautiful couture gowns, thick knitted sweaters, stiletto boots, and Tiffany & Co.  diamonds reminding us that while we often don’t have the cash to spend on a pair of $600 winter booties, we can still draw inspiration from them. And where’s the true artistry without the pretty lady underneath it all? Let’s put the Giuseppe Zanotti heels aside for the moment and look at the face of the woman who’s wearing them. After all, beauty is only skin deep. Here’s a round-up of our favorite pieces from Fall 2011 makeup collections:

Fashion insiders and back-to-school shoppers alike are eagerly awaiting the launch of Missoni’s collection for Target, which hits stores on September 13th. We’ve still got a month to go, but now we’ve been graced with a taste of what’s to come: the lookbook has landed. We’ve combed through the epic 400+ piece collection—seriously, they’ve covered everything from swimwear to stemware (even a bike!), and favorited 10 pieces—our Missoni must-haves, if you will. It wasn’t hard. Check out the entire lookbook here!

Love em’ or hate em’, they’re here to stay. That’s right: high-waisted pants were huge on the runways this year and won’t be going anywhere for quite some time; we couldn’t be happier! We love the sophisticated, put-together look, but we all know that it can be difficult to wear the trend while still maintaining a figure-flattering silhouette. The worst is having your fierce high-waisted pants look like mom pants instead. But with the ’70s in full swing everywhere from Marc Jacobs to Gucci, we’ve figured out how to tailor the rest of your outfit so that  high-waisted trousers will actually become the most flattering thing to happen to your figure since Spanx! Just remember: less is more when it comes to putting together an outfit with high-waisted pants. Try and keep the rest of your ensemble relatively simple to compensate for the extra material of the pants.

These stylish ladies certainly have a lot going for them. From part-time models to full-time fashionistas, these talented DJs and trendy it-girls have dominated more than just the music scene lately. Not only do they rock the turn tables, they also impress the crowds with their stylish ensembles behind the DJ booth. Check out which DJ’s wardrobes we’re most envious of.

It’s the shoe that keeps on giving: leopard print, cosmic print, floral print, American print, and so on. When you think of Jeffrey Campbell, it’s the one shoe comes to mind: The Lita. That sky-scraping, wooden-heeled shoe that fashionistas fawn over. But while we,  too, lust over these heels, we wondered how to actually wear them best. Here are some staple pieces that will make the Lita and your wardrobe the best of friends.

Allie Gonino is one multi-talented, super-sweet 21-year old from L.A. A former pop star in girl band The Stunners, she toured with Justin Bieber and made a music video featuring New Boyz, but has decided to take a different route—kind of. She has plans for taking on Broadway, the big-screen, and pretty much anything along the performance spectrum and looks up to The Dixie Chicks and Reese Witherspoon. She’s inspired by her role model, Lady Gaga—whom she says is a walking “performance piece”—and calls herself Baby Gaga. But she’s your average galpal, and just like you and me: she shops at Urban Outfitters, American Apparel, and Topshop (whenever she gets the chance!), but still eyes those Christian Louboutins we wish to own one day.
