Dark Glamourous Makeup
Today I'm going to tell you how to get a bold statement look with matching jewllery. Trying to harmonise the two can be hard as sometimes the colours might be complimentary.
Here are some tips:
1. Always choose your necklace/ jewellery first, this'll help to decide what colour eyeshadow to use.
2. After picking jewellery, create a colour palette and stick to it. I'd say choose around 3-5 colours. >> Use a colour wheel to help.
3. Keep the undertones of the jewellery and the eyeshadow in mind. Subtle changes in undertones can put something off.Eyes:
First I used Midnight Black Shadow (Dot, 6sd) on my outer creases around 3-4 times. Next, I applied Midnight Gray Shadow (Dot, 6sd) on my inner corners all the way to the black eye shadow at least 3-4 times. As a base, use Eyeshadow Pearl No1 (Sephora, 8sd) in the middle (3 layers). In the grey eyeshadow I applied a dot of Midnight Black to blend it all out. For the lashes, use Volumizing Mascara (Dot, 3sd) with Lengthening Mascara which is also from Dot (2sd).Cheeks:
Later, I used Bronze Shade Stick (Transform, 24sd) and kind of outlined the cheekbone. Following that, I spread Deep Tan blush (Dot, 7sd) using the shade stick as a guide. On the apples of the cheeks I applied Coral Blush (Transform, 10sd) to give a little life. Note: I realise that the cheeks are bit rough on camera.
Lips:
Finally, for the lips I wanted a dark nude colour so that the eyes could all the attention but the lips would still be popping. Miami Tan lip gloss form Transform, 6sd, was the perfect choice.
Well I hope your makeup is on point! Comment any suggestions for other looks :D
Bye
