Welcome back!
Like many of you, I commonly find myself listening to morose, sad songs, which can be beautiful and enjoyable, but also leave me feeling blue. In light of the current global situation, I thought finding 10 happy, upbeat songs would pick my moods up, and I thought to share them with you! These are all from different genres, so there’s something for everyone. I hope you enjoy listening to them, and tell me your recommendations in the comments below.
1. "Big Spender" by Smiler & Lana Del Rey. This rap song will make you want to dance!
2. "The Cult of Dionysus" by The Orion Experience. The alternative song from the '00s will take you to another world.
3. "Typical Girls" by the Slits. This '70s song is old but gold!
4. "The Ketchup Song" by Las Ketchup. I’m sure you’ve all heard it, but classics are classics for a reason!
5. "There She Goes" by The Las. The beat is electric, and will make you nostalgic.
6. "She Mine" by Velvet Revolver. This rock song is loud, and full of energy.
7. "Brooklyn Baby" by Lana Del Rey. The combination of guitar with vocals in this composition is unmatched!
8. "Shake It Off" by Taylor Swift. This one might bring you back a few years, but the beat & the message are anything but mellow.
9. "Weird People" by Little Mix. This pop piece will help you embrace your individuality.
10. "Oh No" by Marina And The Diamonds. The depth of the message in this song is a beautiful contrast to the loud vocals
