Styling Moschino

hace 74 meses

This week saw the long-awaited drop of the Moschino x H&M collaboration! The collab was a great representation of Moschino with some signature features; the gold chains, leather, cartoons, sportswear and over-branding, as well as a revived CD print. With the collection including classic Moschino pieces, it's super easy to achieve the look on Stardoll, with items in past stores such as Antidote and Subcouture.

With my first outfit, I chose this leather dress with gold buckles and lettering, inspired by Moschino's Fall 2014 collection. This was also Jeremy Scott's debut collection as creative director! I layered the dress over a cut-out t-shirt, and styled it with a handbag inspired by a biker jacket, gold hoops, and heels with gold detail. For my next outfit, I chose the denim shirt-dress and matching cap, inspired by Fall 2016. I styled the dress with some biker boots and fishnet socks, a leather choker with gold hoop, and mini bag. You could swap the biker boots for a pair of thigh-high boots or, keep it simple with the heels from my first outfit.

A recurring theme with Moschino is taking something classic and updating it. This quilted suit is a perfect example, with the denim fabric and chunky gold chain lining. I styled the suit with some matching blue heels, a classic silk blouse and Chanel bag. The bag works perfectly with the gold chain strap. I completed the outfit with some hoops and a chain belt. For my final outfit, I took inspiration and styled a classic LBD over a casual t-shirt. However, you could swap the dress for a pair of classic black pants, and add a blazer. I continued with the signature gold look, with the statement layered necklace, heels and mini handbag.

As a follow-up, I thought I would style some casual outfits. The casual, street-inspired Moschino x H&M pieces include baseball jerseys, hip-hop Disney graphics, denim, hoodies and matching track pants.

With my first outfit, I layered an oversized mesh jersey over a t-shirt with a layered gold chain print, and cycle shorts. Matching the shirt, I then added a backpack with a gold chain detail. To complete the outfit, I chose a leather cap, sporty Prada boots and slouch socks. With my next outfit, I paired a Moschino-inspired padded jacket with some leather pants, which work perfectly as they have the gold stud detail. I paired the jacket and pants with a white t-shirt (you could swap it for a slogan shirt), a mini Moschino branded bag and some chunky biker boots. Instead of the boots, you could choose some strappy heels.

For my next outfit, I went for a head-to-toe blue look. This sports jersey was inspired by Jeremy Scott x Adidas, and works perfectly with the quilted blue bag and boots from Fall 2015. This was one of my favourite Moschino runways, as it referenced TLC with bright block colors, and also included super fun Looney Tunes graphics and graffiti prints. To break-up the blue, I layered the jersey over a white long sleeve and bike shorts. For my final outfit, I chose another oversized shirt worn as a dress. This time, I went for one of Moschino's classic slogan t-shirts. I paired it with a red leather miniskirt, which picking up on the subtle red colour on the shirt. I then went for some thigh-high leather boots, a chunky buckle choker and a novelty trashcan bag. You could also style the shirt with white cycle shorts, and the blue bag and boots from the previous outfit.
