Today, I'll be writing about something amazing that happened very recently in my personal life. Read on if you love animals and want to reaffirm your belief in the kindness of the human race!

It was a dark night, raining heavily, and two of my best friends were walking home through a carpark. They were surprised to hear a noise coming from under one of the parked cars, looked underneath... and saw two stranded kittens, hiding from the rain!

Knowing that the little kitties wouldn't do well out in the cold, they decided to take them home and adopt them.

Their first stop on the way back to the house was to the vet, where they found out that the cats were boys - brothers! Unfortunately, the vet also told them that one of the brothers, the little tabby, had a broken hip. The surgery would cost over a thousand dollars - a price that the two students would never be able to afford.

So they created a page on an online donation website, and asked all their friends to help out. We all donated to the cause, and I decided to share the page wherever I could - everywhere I knew there were cat lovers!

Soon, it wasn't just our friend group that was donating! We even got a local business on board - a fine jewelry store that loved cats.

In less than 24 hours, we had raised the money for the surgery! Over 50 people showed their compassion and kindness by donating, and they helped this little kitten have the chance to live a full life.

The little tabby will soon be able to run around with his black and white brother again - happy and loved cats for the rest of their lives!
