A lot of people think that statement looks are only about the clothes you are wearing, but that's simply not true! Your hair and makeup can be their own statement look.

Statement looks can be hard to pull off, which is why it's best to focus on a particular part of your look when you're creating it. For example, my focus in the above picture was my hair, it's very bright and I wanted it to be the first thing that attracted your eye. I needed a couple of other things to match my hair though, so I used purple lips and eyebrows (both in different shades, of course.)

One other important aspect of my look was making sure that the majority of my makeup was natural looking, I didn't want to overpower the hair, I only wanted to compliment it.
