Getting A Part-Time Job

hace 111 meses

Hi dolls.

My life has been pretty crazy recently. If you didn't know I just started college this September and I haven't had a chance to post much as I'm also working now.

I have managed to get myself a part-time job at a store called River Island. Some of you may have heard of it. It's retail store that sells clothes.

In this post I'll be giving tips on how to go about finding yourself a part-time job. First of all the type of job is very important. You'll want something flexible that fits your college hours. These types of jobs include: retail, waitress, admin or call centres. Here are my tips:

Updated CV/Résumé. This is a must. Make sure this includes your personal details for potential employers, your skill set, a little information about yourself, your school/college history and any work experience you may have.

Cover Letter. A cover letter is a really good thing to have to send off with the above. In this you can include more information about yourself and why you would be the best choice for the role you're applying for.

Clothing. If you're successful for an interview make sure you're dressed smart. Tailored clothes can go a long way in an interview, as it will be the first thing the interviewer will judge you on.

Interview Techniques. When in an interview make sure to pause before you answer a question asked so you can prepare properly. If you don't understand a question, you can ask them to rephrase this.

Knowledge. When going for an interview make sure you have basic knowledge of the company you're applying for.

Well dolls, these are my tips. What are some of yours?

Hope this post helps you and good luck finding the job you want.
