Being Bold

hace 114 meses

Hi dolls.

Sometimes in life we may find that we get pushed aside, or not chosen for things if we do not appear bold enough.

I recently found out that I've been accepted for an internship (unpaid) this summer with a magazine that I follow.

This is something that has made me excited beyond words. I feel like I'm on the right track in the direction I want to take with my life.

As it is a magazine I applied for, I had to make sure my application/interview stood out from other people who applied. So I'm going to give you a few tips in becoming bolder.

Being outgoing. Sometimes in life you do need to appear, more than what you are. I'm outgoing to a certain extent, but when doing an interview or application you need to stand out! Make sure you talk about experiences that have shaped you into who you are now or talk about experiences you want to do that will change you for the better.

Being confident. This is one thing I struggle with a lot. In real life I'm under five foot tall. I don't like it, but what I lack in height I make up for in personality. Sometimes you just need to put on a face and tell yourself you're the best and show this in your personality and body language.

Being honest. A potential employer/college/university will really appreciate someone who is honest in their views and opinions. This shows you're not afraid to speak your mind and take an interest in what's going on in the world. It will also help with your confidence if other people agree with your views or if you can successfully hold a debate without it becoming heated.

Well these are my tips. What are yours? I love advice on things like this as it helps in real life situations.

Hope this post helps any of you if you're in this situation in your life.
