Choosing the right role model is important, but what about being one? As the oldest of an extensive line of girl cousins, I know a lot about the pressure of being a good example. It's natural for the younger ones to look up to older people, even I do it.

A study was once conducted, requring forty-two college students to recall who they looked up to growing up, and what qualities they had. The top five were passion and ability to inspire, clear set of values, commitment to community, selflessness and acceptance of others, and ability to overcome obstacles.

I once saw a quote that said, "Whenever you are tempted to give up, remeber there is a little girl watching." This is so very true! Be conscious of the fact that everyday we are given the oppurtunity to be a role model. You can be that girl everyone looks up to! It requires strength and patience, but every day is a chance to better yourself!
