Margareta van den Bosch, H&M’s Creative Advisor and the woman responsible for ushering in the era of high street designer collaborations, is—like everyone else—obsessed with Tom Ford. Though the Versace for H&M collection doesn’t even hit stores until this weekend, van den Bosch has already told Business Week that they’d love to make Ford their next luxury collaborator. Ford is “a very interesting name,” she said. “I can say, I wouldn’t mind.” We’re guessing no one would mind, except for Ford. The designer’s only just begun to build his own post-Gucci empire, launching his women’s collection and then cosmetics. Unlike Versace or Lanvin he doesn’t have archives to pull from, or even a signature aesthetic (other than sultry). No one from team Ford will comment, and van den Bosch says they’ve yet to speak with the designer.

Last night, the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund first prize was awarded to Joseph Altuzarra for his three year old brand, Altuzarra. Since launching his collection in 2009, after stints at Marc Jacobs, Proenza Schouler and Givenchy, Altuzarra was an immediate hit with the fashion pack, turning out one collection after another full of alluring, fitted clothes made for women—not girls—who had interests other than lunch. The prize grants him $300,000 and a year of mentoring. This year’s runners up are Pamela Love, the jewelry designer best known for her talon cuffs, and Creatures of the Wind, the colorful collection designed by Chicago based designers Shane Gabier and Chris Peters. Both were awarded $100,000.

- Remember this summer when Justin Timberlake was invited to the Marine Corps ball via Youtube? Cpl. Kelsey DeSantis sent out the invite to Justin and he actually accepted! Justin seemed to have a great time at the ball, "Thank you Corporal Kelsey DeSantis. Thank you for inviting me. And, thank you for being my hero," he wrote on his website. We think that was really sweet of Justin and so unlike most of the celebrities in Hollywood, and this is reason number 160032 why we love Justin Timberlake! - We spotted Ugly Betty star America Ferrera leaving the Garrick Theater in London the other day after having performed in the play 'Chicago'. America has been working the theater scene lately, and it seems to be doing her nothing but good! She looked as fresh-faced as ever, and greeted the photographers with a big smile!
