EG Style Spotlight: Emma Watson
It’s no secret that Emma Watson is the world’s most sought-after nerd. After her portrayal as Harry Potter‘s Hermione Granger, the bushy-headed, bright-eyed book worm, Watson was launched into a life of fame. And while HP was her baseboard for a fabulous career, she’s made a name for herself outside the series. Slinking away from the geeky girl she played onscreen, Watson slowly began to explore the magical world of fashion. Audiences found themselves anticipating Potter premieres solely to examine her newest sartorial ventures. When she announced her plans to be the face of Burberry in 2009, we were none too surprised. So now we pay homage to beautifully blossomed starlet with the first-rate ensembles she’s so elegantly worn over the years.

Watson famously suffered a bit of a wardrobe malfunction with this vintage 1970′s Ozzi Clark gown. The bottom flew open just a bit, but unlike other stars, she at least had underwear on!

After a few years doing the Potter films, Watson lent her talents to a different production, The Tale of Despereaux. She showed up at its L.A. premiere wearing a sheer-topped William Tempest dress.

Finally becoming a fashion staple, she steps out in a dark silver trench coat at Christian Dior spring/summer show in 2008. (She adores trenches, especially those from Burberry!)

Varying from her typically dark ensembles, she chose a glimmering Alexander McQueen gown for the 2008 National Movie Awards in Britain.

Out for the Raisa Gorbachev Foundation Party, Watson looks like a bohemian rockstar with this fringed Chanel frock from 2007.

Making an appearance at yet another National Movie Awards night in 2007, Watson boosts what could be a plainly shirt dress by adding a pair of sophisticated heels and opting for an opulent shade of blue.

At the Chamber of Secrets premiere back in 2002, you could tell Watson was trying to break into her own fashion mold. She pairs a ruffled dress (very age-appropriate) with floral heels and a gold clutch.

And we end at her starting days. Who knew this little girl in a simple gray dress and matching purple shoes and fur shawl would have grown to be such a world-class fashionista?
