After patiently waiting six months from spring’s fashion week debut, we’re finally able to purchase our favorite looks from the runway! And here at ELLEgirl, there is a sense of child-like excitement when deciding which designer favorites to adopt first. Since we’re not all factory-built like the goddesses who storm the runway, we found a trend that transcends all body types and can be found on dresses, shirts, skirts, and even shoes: cutouts. The trend was hot on the runways but also on fashionistas like Leighton Meester and Nicole Richie. Whether it’s a small incision to create eyelets or major surgery to reveal both shoulders or an entire back, one thing’s for sure: designers love to dissect.
