Designers such as Alberta Ferretti, Donna Karan, Vera Wang and J Mendel are touting the best of the Venus styles with its layered drapes and soft pleating and references to ancient Rome and Greece, including one-shoulder toga dresses with intricate folds, cinch-waisted maxi floor-sweeping gowns and divine mini dresses.
