Stardoll Archive: DVF Tribute

Back in November, Stardoll rereleased items from the Diane Von Furstenberg Tribute in Archive. The first DVF tribute collection had items inspired by Spring and Resort 2010 and was the second tribute store ever on SD (the first being Chanel). The second collection was inspired by Fall 2011. For this post, I have styled some of the items!

Starting with my first outfit, I chose this off-white dress with a plunging neckline and side-slit. I went for a minimal style but also took a little inspiration from futuristic Y2K fashion with the mirrored bag and sunglasses, then added layered silver necklaces and a pair of strappy heels. For my next outfit, I chose these silver chain bracelets, which I matched with a chain necklace. Of course, the jewelry goes with anything (for example, the first outfit), but I chose a simple racerback tank top and a pair of Gucci wide-leg leather pants. To complete the outfit, I added some white thong heels and a black leather clutch bag. You could also add a pair of simple mini silver hoop earrings.

Next, I went for a retro-inspired look, layering the dress with a silk blouse (a white turtleneck is a good alternative) for some contrast, and then added a pair of platform heels with gold flower embellishments, layered necklaces, hoops, a black and gold handbag, and a classic black headband. For my next outfit, I chose this DVF ‘Stephanie’ hobo handbag. I styled it with a pair of flared denim dungarees with a cream blouse, then continued the retro theme with my accessories; a pair of wooden platform clogs, a bronze silk headscarf, and hoop earrings. You could switch the dungarees for a pair of flares (either a similar wash of denim or black), and then add a brown leather belt and fur vest.

For my next outfit, I chose this oversized black coat, which is my favorite piece from both of the DVF Tributes. I love this coat styled with a pair of black wide-leg pants, but for this outfit, I decided to style it with an oversized shirt, and the embellished tights from the same collection. I then added some classic pumps (platform heels would work too), a black mini bag, headband, and gold hoop earrings. For my final outfit, I chose this black hat from the Fall 2011 collection, which was inspired by the wild west. I layered a tie-dye mini dress with a slouchy white blouse for a western-inspired look. I then chose a pair of strappy heels and a black clutch bag. You could switch the heels for a pair of black boots instead.
