Styling Bonjour Bizou
For this blog post, I have styled some of the new pieces from the Bonjour Bizou daily looks!
Starting with my first outfits, I have styled some pieces from Chanel Spring 1995. This collection saw a more playful approach to Chanel, with the iconic tweed set updated with cropped jackets and shorter skirt hemlines, sugary colors, and accessories including the super cute quilted vanity bags. 90s TV style icon Fran Fine wore the yellow jacket version of the daily look, and Cher Horowitz would have definitely worn some of the looks from the collection.
For my first outfit, I styled the high-waist miniskirt with the gold chain belt and paired it with a cropped white Chanel shirt. You could also add a black v-neck vest, and depending on the length, wear the gold chain over the top. I stuck to a theme of black and white with gold accents, adding a black leather handbag and loafers, white socks, and a pair of gold hoops. For my next outfit, I chose the cropped jacket and styled it with a pair of classic 90s mom jeans. To accessorize, I went for some chunky white sneakers (another 90s staple), a black leather cap, a mini Chanel bag, and gold hoops.
Next, I chose these plaid pants with exaggerated cuffs and styled them with a black turtleneck and a structured blazer. I then chose a pair of black boots, a slouchy leather bag and black belt with gold hardware, and a pair of gold square hoop earrings. For my next outfit, I styled these square-toe sandals with gold chains with a cropped blazer and miniskirt and a white cropped turtleneck. If you wanted, you could style the blazer and skirt without the turtleneck, and add some layered gold necklaces instead. To complete the look, I added a leather belt, a Fendi mini bag, a headband, and a pair of chain earrings to tie-in with the sandals.
For my next outfit, I chose two staple pieces from the Bizou releases – the cropped white t-shirt and sneakers. These are great items to buy as there are so many styling options for them. I decided to go for a comfy look with a pair of mom jeans (some classic black pants would also work), and then chose this oversized silver coat by Off-White as a statement piece. To accessorize, I went for a black Bottega Veneta padded cassette clutch and New York Yankees cap to tie in with the black buttons and patch on the coat, and then a silver chain necklace. You could add a pair of mini silver hoop earrings too. This look would also work with a black t-shirt or turtleneck, and a pair of black chunky boots instead of the white t-shirt and sneakers. For my final outfit, I took inspiration from an outfit Rihanna wore in 2012 (which still looks current eight years later), where she wore a similar pair of thigh-high leather boots with an oversized Margiela flame print t-shirt and a leather jacket. For my take, I chose an oversized white shirt instead, and then a Balenciaga leather jacket with white graffiti down the sleeves. I then added a Dior saddle bag with silver hardware, some black sunglasses, and a pair of silver mismatched earrings.
