Dear Lyonda,

I’ve been getting really close to my crush recently and we’ve been texting a lot. Last week, he totally  just ghosted me over text. I see him at school every day but we don’t really talk in person. He kinda walks right past me. What do I do?

Whoever said girls are complicated has clearly never met a guy!  Getting your crush’s attention can seem like the utmost priority during your high school career and for the time being, it sort of is, unfortunately. But getting rejected is definetly a possibility. I know the circumstance you’re in far too well. ‘Ghosting,’ for those of you who aren’t aware, is when someone stops texting you or replying to your messages. Yeah, it sucks. Especially when they’re your crush. You could definitely try and build up the courage to talk to him face to face about it. You never know, maybe he’s shy! But honestly girl, if things don’t go any further, I think its time to wave that boy bye. I mean, if he doesn’t care enough to speak to you in school, then is he really worth it? Yes, quite harsh of me, but save yourself a broken heart and a Ben and Jerry’s binge.
