High or low?

Hi dollies!

Today's post is about buns! They have been on-trend for a while and can be made to look glamourous or casual.

High Buns:

High buns are very classy; you can have them sleek and shiny without any hair out of place; tightly made (ballet bun) or messy and free from your face. High buns can add height and elegance, which could be why you see them everywhere!

How to:

1. Flip your hair in front of your faace and gather all hair to the top of your head. Use a brush or your fingers to make sure it is tight. Secure with a bobble.

2. Stand upright and twist your hair until it coils round the bobble into a donut shape. Secure with a bobble/bobby pins OR get another bobble and tie it. When you have twisted the bobble the 3rd time, make sure you only pull out a little hair, then turn into a bun using bobby pins.

Low Buns:

Low buns are my best friend. As I have thick hair, high buns don't stay in. Low buns are easy and elegant and they can also be casual. When a low bun has a knot effect, it can be called a chignon.

How to:

1. Tie your hair into a low ponytail at the back or side of your head.

2. Twist your hair until it coils round the bobble. Secure with another bobble/bobby pins.

If you have feathers at the front of your hair, leave them loose to frame the face. If you have a fringe, create a side parting like the one on the picture above.

I hope this helps!
