Street Fashion

'Street Fashion' is one of the broadest terms for a certain style/influence on fashion and yet it's still my favourite. It has amalgamated with youth fashion (no wonder why it speaks to me) and is supposedly a style not crafted by designers, but by the people living in urban areas.

Interesting right? It could mean so many things!

'Streetwear' is generally composed of popular brands that are commonly seen worn by everyday people and skater friendly. Naturally, streetwear evolves to keep up with trends. Below we can see streetwear mixed with trends like transparent texture, lace and holographic/metallic materials.

Streetwear (as it is versatile) also mixes with the other spectrum of bohemian/floral clothes. Why do we get this variety? The trends/ideals in different locations obviously impact the fashion of that area. Obviously, with the internet becoming a huge fashion influence it decreases this variation.

Below is an example of the mesh's and pastels mixing with more street-fit clothes (lace up platforms and denim).

Street Fashion is influenced by culture. Whether it's hip-hop, traditional or internet culture - it's made up by us.

Which look is your favourite?
