Talent vs Hard Work

"Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard"

-Unknown

When I was in Elementary school, I was really good at Math. People would say I had natural talent for it. So obviously, I went to various Math contests, winning some diplomas, it was great. But it wasn't enough. In 6th grade, I qualified for regional contest. I went there with another student who was 2 years older than me. I have never known him before, but I knew he was really good at it. So on our way there, I asked him what was his secret, and he told me it was simple - he practiced. A lot. He would constantly look for ways to improve skills, and spent a lot of time doing Math assignments. He won there, and I ended badly, but I learned a valuable lesson that would guide me through my life.

When I first started blogging, I realized I had a spark of talent for writing. I would look for blogs to join and write my articles there. And I kept writing. Of course, I made a few months break few times, but my talent did not disappear.

Looking back at my old posts, I can clearly see I improved a lot through the years. My posts are more informative, positive, and much better quality. After all, I would have never been accepted to Star Blog if I did not want to improve. And after 6 months, I am still here.

The point of this post is, no matter how you think you may be talented, it will never be enough. Yes, things may be easier to you, but you will still have to work in order to be successful.
