School/Real Life!
When you're in school, it can be hard to see what use the things you are learning will be in real life. Here are a few ways in which those subjects do become useful!
Reading and Writing
I can't stress how important these skills are enough! Not only are they useful for a lot of jobs and essential for further education, they can also provide you with some great opportunities for recreation. Reading is a way to escape the real world and relax for a bit - something that you may need more and more as you get older. Writing is also important - you may need to write reports for jobs in your future!Maths and Science
Basic maths is obviously very useful for life - we use maths every day. You may find your advanced maths is usueful too, however! Even if you don't go into a math or science based career, you may find yourself measuring and building, or figuring out your finances. Science knowledge can be useful when doing things like cooking (especially when substituting ingredients) and cleaning, as it helps you know things like which cleaning chemicals are unsafe to mix.Overall
There are far more practical uses for the above subjects than the ones I've listed! If you're more into subjects like art or sports, that's fine to focus on, but make sure you put effort into the other subjects too. That way, your options will be kept open and you will get some great, useful knowledge! What's your favourite school subject?
