Many Stardoll users are confused as to what Lottery Dresses are, why they're so rare, how they were attained and what in the world do they look like.

I hope this post clears up any confusion anybody had about them. So to start, here's what the highly sought-after gowns look like:

Above are the lottery dresses. The only lottery dresses. So don't be fooled if someone tries to pass off a regular dress as a lottery dress. There were only 20 of them.

Back in 2008, Stardoll hit 20 million members. To celebrate, everyone was given 20 stardollars and 1,000 copies of each dress was given out randomly, that makes 20,000 lottery dresses in total. THIS is why they're so rare, they weren't given out to absolutely everyone. Only 20,000 lucky random people.

The lottery was a competition by Callie.Stardoll - You had to 'enter' the lottery in order to have a chance at winning one of these dresses.

I notice some people ask if accessories are a lottery item. Note that there weren't any accessories given out in addition to the dresses. What you see in these photos were the only things given out through the lottery.
