Here are some simple guidelines I use when decorating, hope you enjoy.

Use interiors. There are many interiors in the Starplaza, which caters for every style and budget, from Starcoins to Stardollars. Many interiors only need a small amount of work and money spent on them to make them look amazing and stand out.

Starcoins are always useful. There are many Starcoins interiors in the Starplaza that can be used in your rooms. There are furniture, and accessories to add details to the room. All it takes is a bit of patience and you can find just about anything in Starcoins.

Wait for closing down sales. These sales are always worth waiting on; you can get so many items for half the price, and create an outstanding room. You can make an interior room, interior included, for just around fifty Stardollars or less.

Buy in off seasons. You can get Christmas decorations, or any other season decorations for less, when you buy them in the starbazzar, when they are out of season. Otherwise you will end up paying tons for them.
