Hey guys! How's your day been? I hope it's been amazing. And I hope you are smiling. And if you're not, then please do! Because we all have reasons to smile, even though it may not seem so.

Today, I went to get some ice cream with my father at an ice cream parlor. The cashier had a frown on her face the entire time and did not speak kindly to customers. It was really bugging me how bland and mean she was being, so as I was leaving I turned to her and said, "Be happy." (Yeah, I'm really confident sometimes.)

She looked at me, surprised and asked, "What's there to be happy about when you have a job like this?"

I looked at her and quietly said, "Life." And then I left, hoping I made an impact.

Guys, no matter what you're going through, no matter what obstacles appear, there's always something you should be thankful for and happy about. Like your life. You're alive! That's all that matters. And I know sometimes it may seem like life is a joke . . . It's not. Because whatever goes wrong today, will get better. If you hit rock bottom, the only other place you can go is up.

Right now, I want you to think about how lucky you are to be alive and to be you, and I want the corners of your lips to curve upwards. I want you to smile. I want you to laugh out loud, as loud as you can. I want you to be happy.

And you should want you to be happy too.
