So it's finally that time of year, Miss Stardoll World is here. Maybe you've heard a thing of two about MSW, but let me tell you, MSW is far more complex than you ever realized. Almost everyone wants the crown, but in the end, only one will win.

I'm pretty new to MSW. My first year running was 2017, where I made the semis, and last year I was 9th overall and was the top USA placer. I learned a lot in between those two years, and I asked a ton of different dolls for advice and help along the way.

Back to the focus of this blog: I'm hoping to give you all some helpful advice to help your chances of winning MSW...

- Keep trying. A lot of dolls give up and think that they'll never have a chance with so many people all hoping to win. News flash: you don't even have the smallest of chances if you don't put in any effort. If you try, you have a better chance than the doll that didn't.

- Get Help. Your friends are probably more than happy to vote for you, so make sure you're still reaching out and not just spamming everyone. If you're running alone, with no one for moral support, you're going to go insane.

- Reach out. The more people that know you're running, the better. Last year, I wrote in 2000 guestbooks daily, and it was a lot of work, but it paid off.

-Don't spam. This is self-explanatory. Please please please please please don't spam me. 

- Be yourself. There's no point pretending to be something you're not. For me, being myself means having fun with MSW. reaching out to more people, acting like a strange golden alien, and just getting a good laugh out of campaigning. 

- Don't get discouraged. I can't even tell you how many of my friends were angry that they didn't make the semis or finals. There are millions of other dolls all trying to make the semis, which means only 200 out of millions of people will make it. Maybe you were 201. You don't know, so stay positive and support your friends!!!

-Stand out. Last year, I was literally campaigning as a green alien with the slogan "TeamGreen." Seriously, do something memorable. No one wants to vote for a stereotypical doll.

-Have FUN. This is a competition, sure, but only one person is going to win the title. The rest of all should still have fun, make lasting friendships, and just go with the flow. It's not all about winning. In fact, the more down to Earth you are, the more people you reach while still being yourself, the more likely those people will actually vote for you, because they care.
