BLACKPINK in Your Area #2
For the next post of my BLACKPINK series, I have styled outfits inspired by Jennie! Starting with the airport outfits, Jennie tends to combine chic and classic styles with comfier pieces. As a brand ambassador for Chanel Korea, it really is the perfect brand for Jennie’s style, and she often adds pieces such as bags, brooches, and logo belts to her outfits for detail.
For my first outfit, I went for a classic shirt tucked into some jeans. I added some white pumps, but a pair of sneakers would also work. I added some earrings and a classic Chanel bag with a chain strap. You could add a wool coat (worn over the shoulders). For my next outfit, I went for a similar vibe, styling the blazer with some classic black skinny jeans. I added a black t-shirt, although in similar outfits Jennie has worn a graphic t-shirt or a crop-top. For accessories, I went for a logo belt, some loafers, and a Chanel-inspired backpack. You could add a delicate pendant necklace.
Jennie’s on-stage style often includes white shirts, ruffle details, hot pants and miniskirts, and accessories such as hairbands, suspenders, and rhinestones. For the first outfit, I layered a white shirt with a mini dress and added a pussy bow tie. The boots are a perfect match with the detail on the dress. To accessorize, I went for some earrings and a hairband. You could swap the dress for a glitter miniskirt and add suspenders. For my next outfit, I was inspired by an outfit Jennie wore for a performance of Solo. For my take, I went for a glittery tulle skirt, and bodice layered with a white ruffle top. I accessorized with sheer gloves, heart earrings, and layered necklaces. To complete the outfit, I would add a couple of hair slides. You could swap the necklaces for a choker and add a statement belt.
