A-lister Anne Hathaway will be starring in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises playing the sultry vixen Selina Kyle/ Catwoman. The actress beat out Jessica Biel and Keira Knightley. Looking back, he role of Catwoman has been played by Michelle Pfeiffer in 1991′s ‘Batman Returns‘ followed by Halle Berry. Hathaway’s co-stars Christian Bale returns to play the heroic role of Bruce Wayne/ Batman and Tom Hardy will be playing the chemically corrupted villain Bane. Nolan’s game plan is to bring back the historical characters that we have seen through out the Batman series. He states at a Warner Bros. press release conference, said: “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic edition to our ensembles as we complete our story.” What are your opinions on Anne Hathaway’s new role starring the savage Catwoman?

It’s three days into the Sundance Film Festival and already reporters are asking Elizabeth Olsen how it feels to be the festival’s it girl. Olsen’s response: “If I am an it girl, the great thing about that is that it can help these two films.” The young actress is talking about Silent House and Martha Marcy May Marlene — two films premiering at this year’s festival. Of course, the press has also trekked into family territory, digging into her relationship with her famous sisters (Mary Kate and Ashley) and without extensive media experience some might falter, but not Olsen. “As for my family, I love them and I love talking about them. But I don’t feel that shadow thing that the media assumes. It’s made up by people I don’t come into contact with.” This line of questioning will fade as Olsen, who’s still a senior at NYU, proves she’s worthy of the Miss Sundance title thanks to her intelligent performances — not her last name.

We sat down with Olsen, who was wearing Kenneth Cole’s official Sundance vest (the designer outfits the festival’s 1600 volunteers), at the Stella Artois Cutting Room on Main Street to discuss the road to Sundance, her sense of fashion, and where she’ll go next.

Just when you thought that life doesn’t imitate art, or at least soapy dramas, Gossip Girl’s fictional cast of Upper East Siders won’t be the only ones throwing some serious venom in their social circles.

Thanks to Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, fans can now play “Gossip Girl: Social Climbing,” a free game on Facebook. Just like in the hit show, gamers earn, struggle, and sometimes claw their way up the social ladder by gaining points through being at the right place at the right time—and of course, dressing to stand out in the crowd. Events copy plots of beloved past episodes and characters’ favorite pastimes, including the infamous Assassin Party, Sweetheart Ball, Fashion Week, and club openings. Ultimately, players can be noticed by Gossip Girl herself.

But, don’t stop peering out of your designers specs just yet. If we’ve learned anything from watching Blair, Serena, Chuck and co., it’s that social games aren’t always so glamorous for the losers. What do you think—would you play this game? Or will it just perpetuate social pretension with the message it’s sending?

The sensational musical “Wicked” is moving off Broadway and onto ABC as an eight hour mini-series. Salma Hayek, who produced of Ugly Betty, now has a new project in the pipeline: producing Wicked, the TV series. However, there’s no word yet for who will be cast as Elphaba and Glinda. Die-hard Wicked fans can rejoice because apparently the script will not be taken directly from the musical, rather it will be based off the original book written by Gregory Maguire. Who do you think should be cast as Elphaba and Glinda?

Wer hätte gedacht, dass Paris Hilton immer noch für eine Modenschau gebucht wird?! Sie lief bei der Sao Paolo Fashion Week für die Triton-Schau auf dem Catwalk. We love the hair headband! It keeps hair off your face while also adding a stylish touch to the average Pippi Longstocking braids. If Jessica Alba’s look seems complicated at first glance, fear not! We have a short list of tips to get this style quick. Make sure your hair is straight of wavy – curly hair will make it harder to braid and keep in place. Once relatively straight, make a center part from your hairline to the nape of your neck. Then braid each side. (Tip: Even though you’ll take these out later, secure each braid with a hair tie while styling.) Lift the right braid and wrap it from each to ear. Remove the tie and pin. Repeat by doing the same to the left braid. In addition to pinning near the ears, you can now begin to tuck pins discreetly throughout the braids. This way, the hairband doesn’t begin to droop and loosen the pins near the ears. Finally, tuck any loose hair underneath the braid and secure with pins. You should be all set! If it seems like a braid might sway, stick it with a pin, but remember to pin underneath the hairband, so no one will know your secret! Enjoy!
