Keegan Allen is best known for his role on the ABC Family series Pretty Little Liars where he plays Toby Cavanaugh. The 25-year-old, who impressively landed the role on the show right after transitioning from theater to TV, took the creepy character and ran with it. In the Pretty Little Liars book series, which the show was based on, Toby is supposed to be a bit of a weirdo but somehow Keegan managed to take the peculiar character and add a really irresistible element in! We don’t know how he perfected the mysterious persona of Toby so flawlessly, but we love it. Today Keegan is a household heartthrob, but before PLL he was just an average kid with big dreams.  He dedicated himself to the business at a young age but managed to keep his happy-go-lucky persona throughout the whole process, even showing up to casting calls on his skateboard!  Keegan grew up in L.A. and in an interview with I Am Entertainment Magazine, he gives a lot of credit to his Mom and Pop saying he was lucky enough to end up where he is today thanks to their support. The young actor seems to have a really good relationship with his family along with his PLL cast mates. If you check out Keegan’s Twitter, he’s always in some kind of conversation with one of the other Pretty Little Liars actors, trading inside jokes with Lucy Hale or helping to promote Shay Mitchell’s latest cover—now that’s a good friend! Not only does Keegan sound like a total sweetheart, he’s unbearably cute too! That’s why we are officially naming Keegan Allen EG’s crush of the week! Watch Keegan on Pretty Little Liars, Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC Family. (And keep an eye out for his killer abs, which have been known to make cameos on the show!)

On Pretty Little Liars, Ashley Benson always looks dressed to kill as Hanna Marin, the resident It girl of Rosewood High. Offset, sans professional styling, her getups are just as cute and put-together—but with a bit of rocker-chick edge. Check out Ashley, left, outside the famed Chateau Marmont Hotel in West Hollywood on Saturday. The 22-year-old model/actress proved that leather booties can in fact be worn in the summertime with a made-to-be-seen pair of Ash “Titan” studded mini-moto boots—complete with spike detailing that dresses them up for a night out. The rest of Ashley’s outfit consists of several key staple items (and a really awesome handbag): a black dress, a black leather motorcycle jacket (with studs!), a thick pair of specs, a gold oversized Michael Kors watch, some fun bangles, and a flirty pink iPhone case. Her basket weave shoulder bag, by Chanel, brings a softer hue to her all-black ensemble. Replicate Ashley’s effortless style with these pieces:

We already compiled an Independence Day outfit guide, but what about dressing up your nails for the occasion? Festive holidays call for multicolored mani’s, and we’ve got a perfectly patriotic nail art design for the 4th that’s fun and relatively easy to do (no special tools required!). All you need is a toothpick, the three colors of the flag, and a base and top coat to make sure your nails stay fresh and glossy throughout the weekend (because really, who wants to reapply?). Get your stars and stripes on with the steps below! You’ll need: a base coat, red nail polish, white nail polish, blue nail polish, a toothpick, and a top coat.

    1. Apply a base coat to protect and strengthen your nails.

Photo: Courtesy of Nails Inc. Nails Inc. A & E base coat, $19. 2. Apply red nail polish to the entire nail. Let it dry for approximately 20 minutes.

Photo: Courtesy of Essie Essie “really red” nail polish, $8.

    3. Next, apply a single strip of white nail polish vertically down the center of the nail. Let it dry for 20 minutes.

Photo: Courtesy of Essie Essie “blanc” nail polish, $8.

    4. Take the blue nail polish and apply a single strip of nail polish horizontally along the tip of the nail, perpendicular to the white stripe, and covering it a little bit, like in the picture above. Let it dry for 20 minutes.

Photo: Courtesy of Essie Essie “mesmerised” nail polish, $8.

    5. Dip the tip of the toothpick into the white nail polish and create your stars by making a dot on the blue strip where you want the star to be. Carefully drag the dot in five directions into a star-like shape. Repeat the process 3-4 times for additional stars, spacing the dots out appropriately. Let the stars dry for 20 minutes. 6. Finish off with a layer of top coat to protect the nail art and make the nails super glossy.

Jennifer Lawrence may be up to her ears in work, preparing to shoot two big film franchises this summer and fall, but the actress hasn’t let her hectic schedule get in the way of her style. The 21-year-old actress stepped out in Santa Monica, California wearing an easy breezy white romper and her signature bowler hat—a playful pairing that can carry any girl from afternoon to night. The playsuit may have been a childhood favorite once upon a time, but this sweet little number is back with a vengeance for spring/summer. Michael Kors introduced a luxe tailored version as the first look of his resort collection, and Marc By Marc Jacobs and Jenni Kayne both gave a subtle nod to the trend by pairing shorts and tops of the same color. Take a cue from Jennifer and dress up this casual look with a sleek pair of metallic sandals and a leather motorcycle jacket. Try these fun and flirty pieces on for size:

Not too long ago, the only people who knew the name Aaron Paul were viewers of The Price is Right, but times have certainly changed for the young rough-and-tumble actor. Paul is now most well known for his Emmy Award-winning performance on AMC’s hit show Breaking Bad. The 32-year-old actor, who won the Emmy in 2010 for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series plays Jesse Pinkman on the show, a troubled wannabe gangster with a big heart and an astounding amount of charm. We can’t help it: despite his cheesy lingo and oversized pants, there’s something about Jesse that is undeniably attractive. Whatever it is, this baby-faced bad boy has totally stolen a piece of our hearts! But who was Paul before he was a cast member of the six-time Emmy Award-winning show? Turns out, he isn’t quite the bad boy we envisioned him as. In fact, he was the son of a minister who got his acting career started by performing in his church’s plays. From there, he realized his heart was set on acting and since then, he’s made various appearances on shows such as Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose Place, CSI, and most recently Big Love. Paul even played a role in the movie Mission: Impossible III, but his real fame began when he pulled on a beanie on the set of the AMC show. Originally, Paul’s character Jesse was supposed to be killed off at the end of the first season, but after only a couple of episodes, Vince Gilligan, the director, realized that would be a mistake as he watched Paul light up the set alongside Bryan Cranston, who plays Walter White, the show’s main character. Even though we’ve blown Paul’s bad boy cover, we’re still totally obsessed and can’t wait for the final season of Breaking Bad to begin on July 15th. Our only question for today’s crush of the week is, what next?

Resortwear has landed, and 2013 has several hot summer trends in store. We’re having so much fun browsing through our favorite designers’ latest collections, so we’ve rounded up six obsess-worthy trends to look forward to. Take a peek!

    1. Keyhole Cutouts
(from left) Burberry Prorsum, Hervé Léger by Max Azria, Mara Hoffman; courtesy of the designers

Cutouts have been the thing for quite some time now, and while they range in many shapes and placements, it seems a very popular trend right now is the keyhole cutout at the chest. This detail can really take an average top or dress from forgettable to eye-catching and always adds a pop off flirty style.

    2. Furry Shawls (from left) Rachel Zoe, 10 Crosby Derek Lam, Zero + Maria Cornejo; courtesy of the designers

Fur accents are always chic, and this season designers are adding shoulder-hugging furry shawls to their looks. This trend is a great alternative to a jacket on cool nights and will instantaneously amp up the glam factor of any look.

    3. Native & Tribal Prints (from left) Alice by Temperly, BCBG Max Azria, Mara Hoffman; courtesy of the designers

Native prints continue to be on-trend season after season, probably because they never fail to look cool. Not to mention there are so many different inspirations and heritages to pull from! This season, we’re seeing lots of African- and Egyptian-inspired prints along with basic Navajo-esque geometrics.

    4. Embellishment Overload (from left) Just Cavalli, Carlos Miele, Reed Krakoff; courtesy of the designers

Every girl loves a little glitz, and this trend is sure to please. Heavily embellished pieces, such as these sequin- and bead-coated frocks, are everywhere right now. These heavy items give a super luxe look and create unimaginable dimension for an extraordinary effect.

    5. Leather Items (from left) Alice by Temperly, Jason Wu, 3.1 Phillip Lim; courtesy of the designers

Forget the basic leather jacket—this timeless fabric has entered the next phase of fashion. Leather skirts, pants, and even overalls can be spotted in all the latest collections, so keep an eye out for unique ways to wear it yourself. For instance, by substituting leather pants in the place of jeans, you’re bound to turn heads and automatically be deemed a trendsetter.

    6. Bold Stripes (from left) Thakoon, Jason Wu, BCBG Max Azria; courtesy of the designers

Whether it’s on two-piece summer sets or two-piece bathing suits, thick and colorful stripes can be seen adorning summertime duds this season. This bold stripe pattern gives off a fun, young, and clean look that is great in bright colors for daytime outfits.
