Starplaza Levels: Hidden Gems
Howdy!
Today, all tired from the hunting I've done in the Bazaar as I searched for blogging material, I finally managed to answer myself a question.
A long time ago I found a pair of shoes, maybe a purse, maybe a handbag, for Starcoins. There was no brand, and if you happen to come across it twice, you can't buy both for you and a lucky friend. You can only own one copy. And I kept wondering... what is the brand? Are they related? Yes. They are.
You can find above six pieces belonging to the Christmas Advent Calendar 2008! Since they belong to the era where Starcoins was a dream and the prices of many things were under 10 Stardollars, they were in SD but were also very cheap. They were, however, switched to SC when the currency was introduced.
But wait, there's more! These six particular pieces were also inspired by real-life items that could belong well in a Tribute release. I want to thank the blogs Seen on Stardoll and Stardoll! for providing the screenshots and information I have used to research. Well... maybe with better graphics. I will get back to the 2008 Advent Calendar in the future. But until then... this is what I dug up so far. :)
You can use the picture above to guide you through the list. :)
1st: Quilted Handbag. You could get this item on the 23rd day of the calendar for 1 SD. But not many know it's inspired after a Marc Jacobs purse.
2nd: Sparkle Purse. On the 6th day, this purse became available for 1 SD. It was modeled after the Miu Miu sequined clutch.
3rd: Shiny Diamond Bag. It kind of just hit me that all the items in this list used to cost 1 SD, so I won't say it again. xD You unlocked the bag on 21st, and it was actually a Jimmy Choo jeweled clutch.
4th: Holiday Shoes. You unlocked these shoes on the 10th day and were inspired by Alexander McQueen.
5th: Silver Glitter Shoes. I should have put these first because you unlocked them on the 3rd day. They look a lot like the Sparkle Purse, color-wise, so the brand is also Miu Miu.
6th: Sparkle Shoes. And last but not least, on the 19th day, you could buy these Marc by Marc Jacobs heels.
The Calendar also released a bunch of dresses, beauty parlor jewelry, and interior festive clutter, which may be covered in a future blog. You could say this is one less worry for me to tackle. Perhaps I could do a separate one just for the dresses. Who knows?
Cheers!
