Tell us a bit about yourself!

Hello! My name is Leo and I am 15 years old! My interests are designing, producing music, and drawing. I am currently in high school and will begin university next year. I'm originally from England, and migrated to Sweden around 3 years ago. My ethnic background is 25% Jamaican, 37.5% Romanian, and 37.5% Swedish.

Share your Stardoll story.

I started playing Stardoll around a year 7 years ago after I saw it on a classmate's laptop as an advertisement. I have been playing on and off since then so I know my way around here quite well! I play Stardoll because I enjoy fashion, beauty, and designing and like to showcase my creativity here.

Describe your StarDesign journey.

I started StarDesigning when the StarDesign tool was made, and I kept on practicing until I found my own style. This took me a very long time and I have probably made over 100 StarDesigns by now but I think it was worth the practce because now I can communicate my creativity without any problems!

Describe your design process.

First, I find a post on Pinterest that I like or on dailydoseofhair. Sometimes I find my inspo from imvu wigs, and then I start building my base using the curvy pieces, after that I gradient everything to create shadows, after that, I put in the highlights and last but not least the fly-aways! Describe your style!

My inspirations are black culture and punk culture. Personally I love mixing these styles together to create a hybrid. I also take some inspiration from drag culture. The designers that inspire me the most are kandyelise who creates some very colorful wigs, dailydoseofhair who have some of the most bomb trendy wig designs, @ymphanisoto who rocks some very bougie, elegant-but-still-trendy wigs, _Aicha_Faye who has some of the coolest brightest colors and outfit ideas, Nicki Minaj who, in my opinion, has given so much for black culture and normalized wearing bright-colored wigs, and Cardi B (Sorry Barbz 😂) Who really slayed the wigs in her latest music video, "WAP."

Who are your favorite StarDesigners?

My favorite designers are Belcalis_, Centipedes and Barli. All of these have given something great to the culture of Stardoll, and are very inclusive to people of all colors. In terms of jewelery in StarDesign, I think that Matieresfecales has some of the coolest jewellery. Belcalis_ has a very special cartoony, perfected style that in my opinion is instantly recognizable. The way she highlights and the flyaways on her wigs are  things that have inspired me many times. 

Leo's words of wisdom:

My advice to Stardoll readers is to work hard and be unique! In a field of horses, be a fish and eventually, you will start getting hype around your name! And my second advice is to design for yourself. If you design for yourself people will notice that, and if you design for others people will notice that you are not being authentic, therefore, be yourself! ❤️️
