Tartan can be a very outgoing material. It is very bold and therefore can be hard to style. Here are my tips on styling tartan.

Neutral Colors
Because tartan is already a very bold and outgoing material, by adding another bold element to the look, will make the outfit look messy and unsophisticated. When styling tartan, sometimes the best thing to do, is too use neutral colors. This will make the tartan really stand out, as you can see in the outfit below.

Comfortable
This doesn't concern stardoll as much but tartan can be a really scratchy and uncomfortable material to wear in real life. This can put people off wearing it, as well as the fact it is also perhaps too bold for their liking. Wear something comfortable over the top (such as a cardigan), if this is the case.
