Today I wanted to talk about one-color styling, specifically black!

A lot of people think that if you wear all black, you're goth or emo. But that's not always the look you're going for! It's all in how you style it. Black can be very chic and elegant. Many classic fashion icons such as Coco Chanel and Audrey Hepburn use mainly monochromatic color palettes for a sophisticated look.

Try to combine interesting textures and details so your outfit isn't one- dimensional. The top has interesting criss cross detailing, and the tights have small hearts and crystals. I also like how the boots are a taller length because they act as a statement piece. And you can never go wrong with accessories such as hats or bags, just keep it simple. I chose a hat with this look for a vintage vibe.

A plus side to wearing an all black color scheme is that you can play up your makeup a little! I chose a red lip for a nice pop of color in an otherwise neutral makeup look. 

I like pairing this fashion and makeup with a simple yet sophisticated bun. It doesn't distract, but it draws attention at the same time.
