- Everybody starts with the same Stardoll suites, but the creative amongst us take it a step further. They paint their own style with perspective, and a little “luck,” according to SannySmily. Incorporating her casual style and preference for black and white, she created a suite that shows depth and taste. Her modern vibe keeps the room crisp without losing the warmth. This room would make the Bauhaus movement proud. Everything in it works together in a symphony of artistic form and function. The dramatic red accents give it a punch of vitality and imbue it with her own personal style.

- Hey dollies! Over the past year or so, I have noticed that many Stardoll members create extremely creative outfits, using random items. All of the outfits that I've viewed are saved on my computer. I actually saved them just to save them, because they were just so creative and inspiring. They've been saved for a while, and I have decided to share them with you, here, in the Star Blog.

While KCD’s busy readying their first ever online only fashion show—an experience they promise will equal a real life production—Theory’s just announced their plan for dialogue over their AW12 Theyskens collection. Derek Blasberg and Moda Operandi’s Lauren Santo Domingo will chat up the online crowd before the show starts at noon on Monday February 13th. It sounds like they’ll speak during the show as well, which may or may not be a plus for audiences at home. No one’s particularly chatty during the ten or so minutes models are actually on the runway and it’s a welcome moment of silence (or good music) from the week’s noise. Blasberg and Santo Domingo are good friends, so their rapport will probably be fun to listen to, but do you want an announcement each time a model walks out? Or a new look bows? Didn’t think so.

As dressing like your boyfriend becomes less a trend and more a classic style, the line between men’s and women’s wear continues to blur. Yes, they’re still in separate departments, but like Barneys knocked down the wall between theirs its increasingly easier to shop both sides. So we imagine there’s a loyal contingent of women who will be thrilled to hear that Richard Chai‘s the new creative director of Filson—and you don’t even have to wait a season to see what he’s done. Part of Chai’s first collection for the heritage brand will be on display at his ready-to-wear show on February 9th, just a week from today. To start, they’re offering six of Filson’s classic jackets in new fabrics like beige and charcoal wool or navy suede with waxed denim. In a slight twist, Chai actually approached the brand and offered his services. Filson’s CEO told WWD, “We met and it was like he’d read our book. He was clearly smack dab in the middle of the vision we had for growth.” Chai said, “Our partnership will be rooted in everyday wear, approachable with unexpected fabrications and details that are signature to my collections, all while staying true to the heritage of the Filson brand.” And there’s no contract, so as long as it keeps working the two will continue their collaboration.
